Corrections

Our commitment

If a statement record on HistoryWall is factually wrong — wrong source, wrong date, misquoted text, wrong person — we will correct it. Our target is to review correction requests within 72 hours of receipt.

We do not silently delete records. When a correction is applied, a correction notice is appended to the record. The original incorrect version is preserved in the audit log.

Anonymous submissions are accepted. You do not need to provide your name or email, though providing contact information helps us follow up if needed.

What happens after submission

  2. The project owner (Arthur) reviews the claim within 72 hours.
  3. If the correction is valid, the record is updated and a correction notice is appended.
  4. If the correction is not valid (e.g., disputed but not demonstrably wrong), we record the dispute and note it publicly on the record.
  5. You will be notified of the outcome if you provided contact information.

Priority corrections

Corrections that allege a statement was entirely fabricated or that the wrong person was identified are treated as high priority, with a target review time of 24 hours.
