About HistoryWall
What is HistoryWall?
HistoryWall is a public record archive for statements made by public figures. Every entry is sourced from a verifiable original — a speech, interview, official document, or published post — and traced to its source before being published.
The goal is simple: if a public figure said something, that statement should be findable, readable in context, and traceable to its origin. Not paraphrased. Not reframed. Not attributed by inference.
Why it exists
Public discourse increasingly relies on secondhand summaries, out-of-context clips, and AI-generated paraphrases that drift from the original. HistoryWall was built as a counterweight: a place where the actual record is the product, not the opinion about it.
We do not editorialize. We do not score politicians. We document.
Current status
HistoryWall is currently in Closed MVP phase. This means:
- All pages carry
noindex, nofollow— we are not indexed by search engines. - All statement data shown is mock placeholder data, not real sourced records.
- The site architecture, evidence system, and review workflow are being tested.
- No real statements have been collected or published yet.
Public launch requires completing review infrastructure, legal compliance review, and editorial process validation. We will update this page when that changes.
Our seven commitments
- Evidence first. No statement is published without a traceable source.
- Public interest only. We cover public figures acting in their public roles.
- Fact and summary clearly separated. Original text is never mixed with AI paraphrase.
- No fabricated imagery. All photos are real, licensed, and attributed.
- Arthur (project owner) holds supreme governance. All edge cases defer to him.
- Correction before expansion. We fix errors before adding new coverage.
- Audit indestructibility. Governance decisions are logged and never silently deleted.
Methodology
